Age of Hooper was at the Code Pink tantrum outside the White House, and he got
this terrific video as a group of kids, taking a tour of Washington DC for July
4th, encountered the Code Pink lunatics who began singing an anti-American
version of 'God Bless America' (as 'God Help America') directly at the tour
group, deliberately taunting them. It’s a thing of beauty to watch as the 'red
state' kids spontaneously break into 'America the Beautiful,' and completely
shut down the moonbats.

When I read Micheal Moore's books the thing that really disgusted me wasn't
the corporate or political bad guys presented therein (their behaviour is
only to be expected, it's their job after all) but the hopelessly compliant
US workers and voters - they literally allow themselves to be shafted at
every turn, and rather than do anything about it they simply turn on anyone
else who does. Like crabs in a crab box, you don't need a lid because if
one of them tries to crawl out, the others pull him back.
These redneck kids didn't have a clue what was being protested about, but
whatever it was, they were going to side with the flag, brainwashed to
perfection.
It has to be asked, just how did they ever get conservatives down from the
trees, into the caves, and then out of them again?

Absolutely! We liberal elitists want people to be educated and
informed, not blundering stupidly along on soundbytes and nonsense. We
liberal elitists want an America smart enough to see the difference
between "I love my country" and "I worship my politicians". Us damn
elitist want everyone to base their vote on facts and records, not 30
second commercials; in fact, we're so elitist that we want to see them
fact-check every claim on the elitist Internet or at the elitist
library.
And we elitist have this real problem with handing the country over to
the all-inclusive, open-arms Old Rich White Guy club (Free Caribou
Barbie with every membership!), as personified by Bush, Cheney, Rove
and McCan't. There are 4000+ American folks who got blackballed and
wound up in the Dead For No Reason club (kinda elitist too), to fund
the ORWG, and that grates on my elitist nerves.

Yep, a lot of them are- not because of who they've chosen, but because
of why they've chosen. Look at Marie's posts under his various nyms
(he is Marie Antoinette, Palin ain't Failin' and Barf O'Biden) for a
representation of the thought pattern.

10% of voters still think Obama is Muslim, even though the claim has
been heavily debunked.

Palin is still insisting she stopped the Bridge to Nowhere and opposed
pork, even though the claim has been heavily debunked and her
staggering record on earmarks published. Also is calling for
transparency in government despite the fact that she is refusing to
cooperate in the same ethics investigation she originally agreed to.
Her "visits" to Iraq and Ireland were a lie- they were Kuwait and
refuel. 40% of people think she is ready to lead when (not if) McCain
croaks.

McCain is running on a dual platform: "tortured POW" and "Maverick".
An informed voter would know he's voted almost entirely on party
lines, including authorizing torture on POWs at the discretion of
Bush. People still think he's a maverick who's stood up to his party.

A small sampling. If after review of all the facts a person still
chooses to vote McCain, great, but a large chunk of the voting public
has chosen to simply not educate itself. How making note of that
translates to "hatred of fellow countrymen" is beyond me.
